2006 – National Housing Quality Gold Award - The National Association of Homebuilders Research Center and Builder Magazine named Ideal Home a National Housing Quality Award Gold winner. Former Professional Builder editorial director Heather McCune added, "Winning the NHQ Award is the most difficult award to obtain in the industry. Ideal Homes is to be commended for creating a company capable of achieving this honor."



2006 – Energy Star For Homes Outstanding Acheivement Award: Each year, EPA recognizes builders that achieve specific levels of accomplishment with Outstanding Achievement Awards. Ideal Homes has recived this recognition for nearly a decade.

2006 – Journal Record Innovator of the Year: Ideal Homes was named “Journal Record Innovator of the Year” for our advancements in building science.

2005 – The Zero Energy Home: In partnership with the US Department of Energy’s Build America program, Ideal Homes built the nation’s first affordable Zero Energy Home.

2005 – Discovery Channel: Ideal Homes was featured on Dicovery.com for its cutting edge building innovation and Zero Energy test home.
2005 – National Energy Housing Value Award - Ideal Homes received a gold and silver “National Energy Value Housing Award" - the industry's top award for energy-efficient home building which recognizes builders who have voluntarily integrated energy efficiency into the design and construction. Since 1998 Ideal has been awarded six Energy Value Housing Awards.
2005 – Best Companies to Work For: The Reed Residential Group and Reed Research Group annually conduct an extensive study of all builders nominated as one of the best companies to work for in the residential construction industry. Ideal Homes consittely ranks toward the top of this list and in 2005 was ranked 3rd.
1997 – Ideal Homes was the first affordable homebuilder in the nation to receive the Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star distinction for an entire line of homes.
